from visiting at least 20 schools and with us visiting at least 20 more, it's safe to say one thing
THE SINGAPORE EDUCATION SYSTEM SUCKS BALLS!
The number of anal teachers far outweigh the number of cool ones we've met.
It's a system that snuffs out creativity and 'encourages' you to obey what others tell you is the right thing to do, and if you don't listen, you're fucked up. There's little space for alternatives, and very little tolerance for students to actually stretch themselves creatively. But in every school we've been to, there's mostly a strong underlining vibe of rebellion, probably stemming from disciplinary oppression. The irony is that most of the 'top' schools in Singapore have a slightly more laxed discipline approach, while the 'neighbourhood' schools are usually the stern and obnoxiously anal and self righteous ones. I'm talking about the people in charge of the schools, NOT the students. The students are cool. At least those had the chance to meet.
We are a country educated by many soul-less uninspired individuals.

100% AGREED.
totally right.
you have no right to say this. in case you have forgotten.
i'm referring to the teachers and principals, not the students. the principals we've met in 'neighbourhood' schools are all striving to be the RGSs and RIs, almost seeking their approval to be just like them.
I have a right to say this and I remember. So you can go fuck yourself.
ah hah! tell ME about it. this is a potentially disgusting problem, or is it already happening. which in retrospect, extends out to the society at large. companies, organizations, communities, of which shines the same problem as well.
the management system sucks balls.
people who walk around without hearts, without souls. with their brains in their asses, educating the masses.
Haha, are you referring to what the teacher of Ngee Ann said about foul language?
